Scientific Research Achievements

   Over the past years, it has been witnessed that SWJTU-Emei has stepped up efforts to enhance research capabilities and technologies. We have presided over and involved in over 30 national programs, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Basic Research Program (Program 973), National High-tech Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), as well as hundreds of programs at provincial and ministerial-level, via which we are granted program funding of more than $10 billion annually by railway departments, local enterprises and institutions. The programs are various, covering civil engineering, transportation, prospecting, program evaluation, software development, mechanical design, automatic control, logistics, garbage recycling, and translation. 100 patent applications have been granted (10 patents for invention). Technical Code for Continuous Compaction Control of Fill Engineering of Railway Earth Structure (TB10108-2011) has been complied and published. The awards that we have received include: Complete Technology of Precision Engineering Survey for High Speed Railway won first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Sichuan Province in 2014; Precision Engineering Survey for High Speed Railway, Deformation Monitoring Theory and Application, second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award, granted by Ministry of Education; Shotmembrane Waterproofing Technology for Tunnels and Underground Engineering, second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Sichuan Province; SGJ-T-CEC-I Passenger Dedicated Lines Geometric Status Measurement System, second prize of National Surveying and Mapping Technology Progress Award; and two second prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award of Chengdu. Over the past 3 years, scientific research papers amounts to 500. 200 of which are included in SCI, EI, and Chinese core journals.
